Buying one of these

There is no cart and no checkout. You write, I answer, and if we agree I send a bill of sale. Everything below is what happens in between.

You askAsk to buy on the watch's page, or write to me directly. Tell me your country — it decides shipping and duties, and I would rather quote than guess. Nothing is due at this stage.

I reply within a dayI confirm it is still free, answer your questions, and take it off the site while we talk. It is held for you for twenty-four hours after that reply, with no obligation on either side.

See it first, if you want toCome to Hamburg and try it on, or have it sent to a watchmaker of your choosing for inspection before you pay. I have never refused either and I do not intend to start.

Bill of sale, then paymentA bill of sale (Kaufvertrag) with the watch, its reference, the shipping cost and the total. Bank transfer within the EU, or PayPal if you would rather have its protection — the fee is mine, not yours.

It ships within a weekWound, set and checked one last time, packed in a watch case inside a plain box — nothing on the outside says what is inside. You get the tracking number the day it goes.

DHL Express, tracked and signed, insured for the full price at my cost. Duties and import VAT are included within the EU; outside it they are yours and I declare the real value — asking me to under-declare voids the insurance and I will say no.

Returns

Fourteen days from the day it arrives, for any reason at all — including that you simply did not like it on your wrist. Send it back in the condition it left, refund in full including the shipping I charged you, within three working days of it reaching me. Return postage is yours unless something was described wrongly, in which case it is mine.

As a private individual I am not legally obliged to offer any of this. I offer it because I would want it, and it is written here so you can hold me to it.

What you do not getNo manufacturer's warranty and no dealer's guarantee — these are old mechanical objects sold privately, and anything can need attention. What you get instead is the service history, the receipts, an honest description, and fourteen days to disagree with it. If something fails in the first months, write to me. I will not hide behind the fact that I do not have to help.
