Dugena Dress Manual Wind Watch, 1960s
The little arrow-shaped seconds marker sitting at the pointed sub-hour position on this dial is what caught my attention when I first laid the watch flat under the light. The dial has a fine vertical brushed finish, warmed slightly with age to a soft champagne tone, and the gilt baton indices are cut with sharp facets that still catch and flash cleanly. Dauphine hands in matching gilt sit clean and true, and the case, gold-plated over a stainless steel back, shows brassing at the lug edges and sides where handling has worn through to the base metal. The crystal has light wear typical of the period but no cracks I can see. The back is stamped for shock and water protection, with a legible but unquoted serial, consistent with mainstream 1960s Dugena production rather than a limited run. I'd point this one toward a buyer who wants a wearable dress watch and doesn't mind visible brassing as part of its character.
