Provenance — One of the pieces I bought online rather than in a shop.
The lug edges on this one have gone past lightly worn — the gold plating has brassed through to brass at several corners, and I've left it as it came to me rather than have it re-plated. The dial is a silver sunburst with applied gold indices and dauphine-style hands, still sharp and legible, though there's a small cluster of dark spotting near the centre and another fleck by the lower-left marker that I'd call ageing rather than damage. Above the "Automatic" signature sits the "Dugena Super" script, with a date window at three. I had the caseback off to photograph the movement, marked calibre 1321 and supplied by Büren, who in the 1960s were known for the slim micro-rotor automatics they built for brands including Dugena. The strap and gold-toned buckle are stamped Dugena too. I'd suggest this one to someone who wants a wearable period automatic and doesn't need the case to look untouched.
Buying from a stranger, in short. Every fault I know of is in the listing, and if you find one I missed, the return stands. Take the watch to a watchmaker of your choosing before you pay — I have never once objected. Fourteen days to send it back, for any reason at all.
