Molnija Pocket Watch 1960s
Calibre Molnija 3602The cursive Cyrillic "Молния" signature sits just above centre, and I like how the two-tone dial plays against it, cream in the main field, a finer ring of guilloché inside the sunk seconds track at six. Black printed numerals, baton and dash indices, and blued steel hands look untouched, with only light toning at the edges of the dial consistent with age rather than damage. The chromed case has gone slightly matte at the high points and shows fine handling marks on the caseback's ribbed pattern, nothing dramatic, but it hasn't been polished back to a false shine. Flip it open and the 3602 movement is clean under the loupe, with sharp screw slots and a jewelled train visible through the bridges, plus a legible serial I'm simply not printing here. This is a piece for someone who wants a manual-wind Soviet pocket watch to actually run and handle, not one that's been tidied up for a shelf.
