Omega Dress Three-hand 1940s
Ref. 2374 · Calibre Omega 344What draws me to this one is the dial itself — that mottled, silvery-grey surface has gone patchy with age, darker toward the centre, with the blued steel hands and printed Arabic numerals still legible against it. The case is a clean, rounded stainless profile with a sharp bezel edge and a small round crown, and I can see it has never been through a heavy polish; the lines at the lugs are still crisp. Turning it over, the Omega signature and 17-jewel caliber 344 are stamped clearly into the rose-toned plate, with the balance and regulator visible and unmolested. There's light scuffing on the caseback and some tarnish inside it, consistent with decades of handling rather than restoration. It suits a buyer who wants a manual-wind Omega from the 1940s in its original, unfussed state, dial character and all, rather than one dressed up for the case.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age.
