Provenance — Bought privately, as the whole collection was.
The two-tier dial is what sold me on this particular Cosmic: a champagne centre ringed by a darker brushed outer track, with applied gold indices and a matching set of dauphine hands that still catch the light cleanly against that darker chapter ring. The gold-capped case has never been polished, and it shows in the crispness of the lug edges and the fine turning marks still visible on the case back around the Omega Watch Co stamp and the plaque or g fill markings. There's the expected softening of the case flank and some thinning at the high points consistent with wear, but nothing that's been buffed away. Opening it up, the cal. 601 movement is clean, signed, and its serial is legible, though I won't quote it here. This one suits someone who wants a manual-wind Seamaster in a size and shape that reads smaller and dressier than the diver name implies, sold on a black leather strap that isn't original but wears well.
Buying from a stranger, in short. Every fault I know of is in the listing, and if you find one I missed, the return stands. Take the watch to a watchmaker of your choosing before you pay — I have never once objected. Fourteen days to send it back, for any reason at all.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
