Roamer Rotodate Three-hand 1960s
The date window on this Rotodate sits proud of the dial rather than sunk into it, a small mechanical flourish I always notice on these Roamers. My example has a warm, slightly two-tone dial, silvery near the edge and rose-toned toward the centre, with applied gold-coloured indices and matching dauphine hands that still catch light cleanly. The gold-toned case shows real handling: brassing at the lugs and crown, and case wear consistent with decades on a wrist, though the lines of the lugs remain sharp. I've fitted it to a navy NATO strap for these photos, which suits the tone of the dial well. Inside is a manual-wind movement, and the stainless steel back carries its patent numbers and maker markings still crisply legible. This one suits a buyer who wants a 1960s dress watch to wear and not fuss over.
