Ref. 212156 · Calibre Universal Geneve 262What sold me on this particular dial is the freckling across the upper half — a fine, even scatter of age spots that stops short of the sub-seconds register, so the two halves have aged at different speeds under one glass. The Arabic numerals are crisp, the blued hands still show colour when they catch the light, and the case retains sharp lug lines with only light brassing at the edges and a few marks from use along the flanks. I can see through the caseback that this is the Enversteel case stamped with the Universal Genève shield, and inside sits the cal. 262, a manual-wind three-hander with clean bridge work and no obvious refinishing. It hasn't been polished into blandness, and I've left the dial exactly as it presented. This one suits a buyer who wants a mid-century military-style Universal on the wrist as it actually is, patina included, rather than one dressed up to look newer than it is.
