Universal Geneve White Shadow Date, 1970s
Ref. 867100 · Calibre Universal Geneve 1-67I flipped this one over before deciding to list it, and the micro-rotor on the 1-67 movement is what settled it for me — that gold-toned half-round sweeping right across the bridge, with the balance visible off to the side. On the front, the dial is a plain silvered white, brushed rather than glossy, with slim baton indices and matching dauphine-style hands that still show good contrast against it. The case is thin and stepped, steel, with lightly brushed flanks and enough wear at the edges that I wouldn't call it crisp, but nothing dented or ground down. The date window sits cleanly at three, the "White Shadow Date" script is sharp, and the crown and lugs look original to the piece. It suits someone who wants the ultra-thin automatic build without paying Golden Shadow money, and who won't mind a dial with real handling behind it rather than a polished-up face.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
