Zodiac Automatic 762 Three-Hand 1950s
Ref. 762 · Calibre Zodiac 721The dial has gone a soft, granular silver-grey that catches light unevenly across its surface, and I find that texture more interesting than a clean white dial would ever be. It carries the raised gold arrow indices, the Arabic 12, and the Zodiac globe logo above "Hermetic" in script, with slim tapered gold hands still holding their finish. The gold-toned case shows real handling: brassing at the lugs and case edge where plating has worn through to base metal, visible under raking light on the profile shot. Turning it over, I can see the caseback stamped Zodiac Ltd, Le Locle, with a legible but undisclosed serial. Opening it up reveals the cal. 721 manual movement, seventeen jewels, with gilt bridges still showing decent striping and a signed rotor bridge. This is a piece for someone who wants a 1950s dress watch to wear as found, not one refinished to look newer than it is.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
