Zodiac Disco Volante Dress Watch 1950s
Ref. 533 016 · Calibre Zodiac 53I keep coming back to the bezel on this Disco Volante — that engine-turned, cross-hatched gold-tone finish wrapping the whole case, worn thinner at the high points where a thumb naturally lands over the years. The dial itself is clean: a brushed silver surface with applied gold stick markers, a squared "12," and slim gold dauphine hands that still hold their shape and colour. Turn it over and the steel back is stamped Fond Acier Inoxydable, Zodiac Ltd, Le Locle, Swiss, with the reference 533 016 legible under a scatter of fine polishing swirls and small handling marks — I haven't had any of that touched up. Inside sits the manual-wind caliber 53, standard for Zodiac's dress models of the period. This is a 1950s dress piece for someone who wants a slim gold-cased watch to wear regularly, not one to keep boxed away.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
