Zodiac Glorious Dress Watch, 1950s
Ref. 763 · Calibre Zodiac 721What stops me on this dial is the honeycomb texture under the grime, still catching light in bands even where the silvering has gone patchy and freckled with age spots. It's a Zodiac Glorious, reference 763, and what I'm looking at is a manual-wind piece on the Zodiac 721 caliber, seventeen jewels, with dagger-shaped gold hands and applied gold baton markers that have kept their shine while the dial around them has clearly not been touched or cleaned. The gold-toned case shows brassing at the lug edges and case sides, with fine handling scratches on the crystal itself. Turn it over and the steel back is deeply engraved with case markings and a legible serial, screw-down and unpolished. I haven't restored the dial or the case, so this suits someone who wants a 1950s three-hander in its current, unrestored state rather than one already tidied up for resale.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
