Ref. 689 · Calibre Zodiac 1361The dial is what took my attention first: a light silvered field with a raised inner minute ring, the finish gone slightly granular with age under the applied gold batons and dauphine hands, and that upper marker done as twin batons rather than the usual single stroke. My case is gold-capped rather than solid, and it shows for it — the lug edges have thinned with brassing where the plating has worn through to base metal beneath, plainly worn rather than dressed up for sale. Turning it over, the Zodiac 1361 automatic sits under a clean, unengraved caseback stamped with the reference and a legible serial I won't reproduce here; the movement itself looks unmolested, rotor and bridges free of scratching from careless case openings. I'd put this to someone who wants a genuine 1950s Rotographic to wear, not shelve — a piece where the case wear tells its own story rather than one chasing a showroom finish.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age.
