Zodiac Tank 1950s
Ref. 355 · Calibre Zodiac 810The squared-off lugs on this Tank case catch the light in a way that tells me this piece has never been near a polishing wheel — the brushed finish on the sides is original, worn thin rather than restored. My eye keeps going back to the dial, a warm silvered tone with applied gold Arabic numerals at 12, 2, 4, 8 and 10, gold squares standing in for the rest, and a recessed subsidiary seconds register at six. The dauphine hands match the numerals in tone, slightly dulled but intact. I opened the case back to find the Zodiac 810 manual movement, fifteen jewels, unadjusted, with a legible but undisclosed serial stamped inside along with the reference. Case wear is visible at the lugs and crown guard. This suits someone who wants a compact, dressy square case from the 1950s to wear as found, not one dressed up for the photos.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
