Calibre Urofa 58The elongated rectangular case is what pulled me in first, and the black dial inside hasn't been redone: I can still see the gold-tone hour markers and arrow-tipped hands sitting cleanly against that dark surface, with the small seconds sub-dial tracking away at six. Turning it over, the caseback is unpolished, its gilt worn thin where a strap buckle has rubbed for decades, and the maker's mark and case stampings remain legible without being sharp. The Urofa 58 inside is a manual-wind caliber, and this piece carries its original movement tag and hang tag, more paper trail than I usually get with a 1940s dress watch. I'd call the case corners and lugs softened rather than crisp, consistent with real use rather than display. This suits someone wanting a slim, formal watch to actually wear, not keep boxed up, who doesn't mind a case that shows its age plainly.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age.
