What sold me on this particular dial is the two-tone finish still visible under close light: a brushed outer minute track giving way to a concentric guilloché centre, with the Baume & Mercier Genève signature sitting between them. The dial has aged with a scatter of small dark spots rather than any single heavy mark, and the applied baton indices and slim dauphine-style hands, plus the small seconds subdial, keep their lustre against that softened background. My case is a rounded, faceted gold-toned shape with bevelled lugs showing only light edge wear, and the crystal carries a couple of fine scratches but no cracks. I haven't opened the caseback, so I can't speak to the movement, only to a case and dial clearly worn and kept, not refinished. It suits a buyer who wants a modest-sized, dressy piece with real presence on the wrist rather than a showroom finish.
