Calibre Venus 170What pulls me in on this one is the two-tone case: the steel band sandwiched between gold bezel and back has gone slightly grey against the yellow, and I like that the photos don't hide it. The silvered dial has toned unevenly, with soft freckling near the edges, and the printed telemetre and tachymetre scales, "Chronographe Suisse" signature and "Antimagnetique" line are all still crisp under it. Blued steel hands sit against a red-tipped chronograph seconds hand, with applied gilt Arabic numerals that have dulled but not lifted. Flipping it over, the Venus 170 is fully exposed, unsigned dial-side but with the column-wheel chronograph works, jewels and screws all visible and a serial legible on the case. The crystal shows old scratching consistent with handling rather than storage. I'd point this one at a buyer who wants a manual chronograph movement on display, not tucked behind a solid back.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age.
