Eterna Automatic Dress Watch, 1950s
Calibre Eterna 1158HThe two-tone case is what drew me in: a rose-gold-toned bezel and centre sitting inside steel lugs and casebody, with brassing visible at the lug edges where the plating has worn through. My dial has gone a warm, slightly mottled champagne with age, the applied Roman XII and VI still crisp against the tone, and I like that the red sweep hand and the diamond-shaped hour markers haven't faded to match. The lugs carry genuine handling marks and light scratches consistent with wear, not polished away, and the caseback press-fits back on to show its stamped steel construction plainly. Flip it over and the automatic 1158H is fully visible, bridges lightly scuffed but the bumper rotor and jewels clean and legible, with a serial present on the movement. This suits a buyer who wants a 1950s Eterna automatic to wear and study as it is, not one dressed up to look newer than it is.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
