Calibre Eterna 520UWhat I keep returning to on this dial is the double-baton marker at twelve, a small deviation from the plain dagger indices used everywhere else on the face. The silvered dial has aged unevenly, with darker mottling gathering toward the edges and around the sunk subsidiary seconds, and I have left it exactly as it presents. The gilt hands and markers still catch light cleanly against that aged surface, and the case retains sharp lug lines with no sign of heavy polishing rounding off the bevels. Turning it over, the Eterna Watch Co. stamping and "Acier Inoxydable" mark are crisp, and the manual-wind 520U inside shows even striping and a legible movement serial under the balance. This is a piece for someone who wants a mid-century Eterna to wear as found, wear and all, rather than one dressed up for a shelf.
