Calibre Eterna 1402UWhat draws me to this piece is its scale rather than the dial itself — a ladies' Eterna sized for a cocktail wrist, hung on a stirrup-style bail and clasp rather than fixed lugs, which is not how I usually find these. The dial is a warm cream, with applied gold-tone baton indices and matching dauphine-style hands, the Eternamatic signature sitting above the gold ball-bearing logo. The dial surface shows its age in tone rather than damage, and the case has clearly been worn, with light scuffing along the caseback and bezel edge and brassing starting to show at the case sides. Flip it over and the Eterna 1402U automatic movement is signed and running, with its distinctive ball-bearing rotor visible through the open back. I have kept the case as it came to me rather than polishing out the marks. This one suits someone drawn to Eterna's rotor mechanics as much as its dress presence, in a genuinely small format.
