Helvetia Dress Pocket Watch, 1920s
The double-back case is what sold me on this one before I'd even wound it: flip the outer lid and there's a second, inner cover protecting the movement, both stamped 0.800 silver with a legible import mark. My eye kept returning to the dial too — cream, with bold black Arabic numerals, blued spade hands, and a recessed subsidiary seconds marked "Antimagnetique". The case back carries engine-turned engraving worn smooth in patches where a hand has opened it for decades, and the bow shows real brassing under the gilt. Inside, the Helvetia bridge is signed and jewelled, running clean with no obvious past repairs visible. Case edges have the odd dent and scuff consistent with pocket use rather than display. I'd point this one toward a buyer who wants a piece to actually carry and wind, not a shelf ornament — the wear is real, but so is the movement underneath it.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
