Longines Admiral Automatic Three-hand, 1970s
Ref. 2356 1 633 · Calibre Longines L633.1The caseback still carries a sharp Longines winged-hourglass stamp, and I like that the reference and movement numbers sit right below it, clean enough to read without a loupe. The dial is a warm silver, radially brushed, with applied baton indices and a matching set of dauphine hands plus a slim sweep seconds; the date window at three sits flush and legible. Longines badged this line "Admiral", and the winged emblem repeats on the crown. My case is unpolished, so the lug edges are still crisp, though the bezel and case sides show fine handling scratches consistent with genuine wear. Opening it up, the automatic caliber inside is clean and unrefinished, with visible jewel settings and a signed rotor. It suits a buyer who wants a 1970s three-hand automatic to wear as found, not one dressed up for the shelf.
