Longines Fancy Lugs Dress Watch 1950s

APL-70 · Calibre Longines 23ZThe lugs are what stopped me on this one — that flared, almost architectural bend where they meet the case, which is the whole reason this reference carries the "Fancy Lugs" name. My eye then goes to the dial: a textured cross-hatch surface in warm gold tone, with a mix of applied Arabic numerals at 12, 3 and 9 and simple baton markers elsewhere, plus a sunken subsidiary seconds register. The gold-filled case shows real brassing at the lugs and case back, and I can see the movement is signed and numbered, running the 17-jewel caliber 23Z with its neatly finished bridges visible through the back. Wear is even and consistent with age rather than hidden — case edges softened, dial patina uniform across the surface. I'd put this in the hands of someone who wants a 1950s dress watch with a genuine design quirk, not a polished re-do.
