Marvin Dress Watch 1950s
Calibre Marvin 560I keep coming back to the dial on this one, that mottled, almost oatmeal-toned surface where the original silvering has broken down unevenly around the applied gilt numerals and dagger indices. The gilt hands still catch the light well against that aged finish, and the small seconds sits low near six with a thin baton hand. My case is gold-capped over a stainless steel back, and it wears that combination plainly: crisp lug lines, a caseback with light scuffing but no dents, and a serial legible if you look. Flip it over and the Marvin 560 is clean under the loupe, 17 jewels, five adjustments, bridges still showing decent finishing with no corrosion. This is a watch for someone who wants an unrestored 1950s dial with real character rather than a refinished one, and who values case integrity over dial perfection.
