Omega Genève Automatic 1970s
Ref. 166.041 · Calibre Omega 565What draws me to this 166.041 is the gold-capped case wearing through to steel at the lug edges, right where a strap buckle and a wrist would actually rub over the years. The dial is clean and original-looking, a silvered finish with applied faceted batons and a printed "Geneve" signature under the Omega name, date window at 3 sitting neatly against it. Hands and markers still show good lume-free lustre with no relume work that I can see. The caseback unscrews to a bright, lightly scratched steel interior, and flipping it over shows the Cal. 565 automatic movement, rose-gilt finished with a visible serial and the bumper-free full rotor doing its job cleanly. Case lines are still sharp despite the brassing, nothing sloppy in the fit of crystal or crown. This one suits a buyer who wants a 1970s automatic Omega to wear rather than shelve, and who doesn't mind that the case has lived a little.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age.
