Ref. 166099The gold-plated case on this one has worn through to steel at the caseback edge, exactly where the "Fond Acier Inoxydable" text tells you it always would, and that combination of soft brass tone and hard steel underneath is what I find genuinely appealing about it. The champagne dial is clean, with faceted baton indices and a matching pair of dauphine-style hands plus a slim seconds hand, and the date sits in a neat aperture at three without a magnifier. Turn it over and the movement is fully visible through the caseback, winding rotor and jewels all present, with a legible but unquoted serial confirming it hasn't been swapped. Wear is concentrated on the bracelet links and case edges rather than the crystal, which stays sharp. I'd point this one at a buyer who wants a wearable 1970s automatic Geneve rather than a cased-up shelf piece, and I'm comfortable calling the movement complete on inspection.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age.
