Roamer Searock Three-hand 1970s
The date window sitting at twelve rather than three is what I noticed first on this Searock, and it still catches my eye every time I pick it up. The dial is a soft, silvery sunburst radiating out from the centre, with faceted indices edged in dark blue and matching blue baton hands, plus a fine red sweep second hand that gives the face some life. The cushion-shaped case is gold-plated and has worn as plate does: brassing shows through at the lug shoulders and along the bezel edges, more on one side than the other, so this is a watch that has clearly been worn rather than kept in a drawer. The crown is signed, the crystal a lightly domed acrylic, and the manual-wind movement inside is left to do its job without complication. I've put it on a grey NATO strap; it suits someone who wants a 1970s piece with wear consistent with use, not a cleaned-up reissue.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
