Zodiac Corsair Automatic 1970s
Ref. 722-922 · Calibre Zodiac 70-72The cushion case on this Corsair is what sold me on photographing it from every angle: brushed top surfaces, polished bevels, and that distinctive stepped bezel Zodiac used to frame the crystal. My camera caught real texture on the dial too, a silvered finish with a faint sunburst that has aged unevenly, showing soft freckling and a few fine lines near the centre rather than a flat, uniform surface. The baton indices and dauphine hands still hold their brightness against it, and the date sits cleanly in its window beside the Corsair Automatic signature. Turn it over and the caseback confirms the reference and the stainless designation, still sharp enough to read without difficulty. There is wear at the lugs and light scuffing across the case flanks consistent with genuine use, not display-shelf handling. I'd point this one toward a buyer who wants a period-correct 1970s automatic with real dial character, not a piece polished back to anonymity.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
