Zodiac Goldenline Automatic 1970s
What draws my eye on this one is the set of tapered baton indices — each cut with a black-filled recess down the centre, catching light differently depending on the angle, against a dial that's otherwise a plain silvered sunburst. The hands match that faceted style, and the date window sits cleanly at three without crowding the layout. Zodiac branding and the "goldenline automatic" signature sit under the hour marker, unmarked and legible. Turning it over, the automatic movement is signed and numbered on the caseback medallion, which shows scattered handling marks consistent with real use rather than display. The case keeps sharp lug lines and good lustre on the flanks, with only minor edge wear where it's met a cuff. I'd put this on someone who wants a 1970s three-hand automatic to actually wear, not shelve — it reads well at a glance and holds up under closer inspection too.
