Zodiac Hermetic Automatic, 1970s
Ref. 722 904 · Calibre Zodiac 72BThe dial on this one has gone in a way I have not seen elsewhere in the Hermetic line: a cool blue field that turns cloudy and mottled toward the edges, almost like weathered enamel rather than simple fading. I can still read every marker clearly, the applied batons and faceted hands keep their bevels, and the date window at three sits square and undamaged. The cushion case has straight lugs and a stepped bezel showing handling wear at the edges, with no heavy polishing that I can detect. Turning it over, the caseback confirms Zodiac Ltd, Le Locle, reference 722 904, and inside sits the automatic calibre 72B, twenty-one jewels, its rotor and bridges still cleanly finished under a loupe. I would put this in the hands of someone who wants that dial as the centrepiece, not a tidy, uniform example.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
