Zodiac Hermetic Day-Date Automatic, 1970s
Ref. 723 713B · Calibre Zodiac 72BThe tonneau case on this one has lost its crisp edges to a heavy hand with a buff at some point, and I can feel it in the flat, softened bevels where the lugs meet the crystal — the goldtone plating is thin at those high points but holds full colour across the caseback and crown. My eye keeps going to the dial: silvered and radial-brushed, with faceted gold baton indices and a day-date window that's stayed crisp against the finish around it. The dauphine hands match the indices in tone, no lume to speak of, which suits the dressy read of this reference. Turning it over, the 72B automatic is signed and clean under the glass, rotor swinging freely with no obvious drag. I'd put this in front of someone who wants a wearable 1970s piece rather than a shelf display — the case wear is real, but the movement and dial underneath it are doing their job.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
