Blancpain Villeret ref. 1151-1127-58 cal. 1151 34mm Stainless Steel Dress Watch from 1999
Ref. 1151-1127-58 · Calibre Blancpain 1151 · 34mm Stainless steelCondition
Provenance — Privately bought and privately sold, the way the whole collection runs.
What draws me to this Villeret is its restraint: a 34mm steel case with the stepped double bezel, a white dial with small applied Roman numerals, leaf hands and a date at three, and no more text than the name and the word automatic. Dial and hands are original and clean. The case has been lightly polished at some point, and the steps of the bezel are still well defined. The automatic cal. 1151 sits behind a solid back engraved with the individual number of the watch. I'm including its guarantee booklet, stamped by Les Ambassadeurs in Geneva and dated 4 May 1999, the sales receipt from the same shop, and the Blancpain travel pouch. The grey leather strap is a later one, fitted with a signed Blancpain steel buckle. This suits someone who wants a slim dress watch from the nineties with its history on paper.
Buying from a stranger, in short. Every fault I know of is in the listing, and if you find one I missed, the return stands. Take the watch to a watchmaker of your choosing before you pay — I have never once objected. Fourteen days to send it back, for any reason at all.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
