Ref. 8721.1 · Calibre Certina K.F.324What pulls my eye on this dial is the raised gold "12" against those diamond and baton markers, each one faceted so they flash differently depending how the light hits them. I've handled a fair number of gold-capped Certinas, and this one still has crisp definition on those markers rather than the flattened look you get once a dial has been over-cleaned. The dial itself has gone a warm ivory with a few small age spots scattered across the lower half, and the printed "Swiss Made" and the Certina script are both still legible and sharp. Case-wise it's gold-capped over steel, keeping a good rounded profile with only light handling marks on the caseback, where the reference and a legible serial are stamped. Inside sits the K.F.324 manual-wind caliber. It's a size and weight that suits someone who wants a dressy 1950s piece to wear rather than shelve, with wear that reads as used, not neglected.
