Eterna Dress Watch 1930s, Rectangular Case, Black Dial
What draws my eye every time I pick this one up is the black dial's condition, still deep and glossy under the crystal with no fading at the edges. The gilt Arabic numerals and matching dauphine hands sit crisply against that black, and the ETERNA signature and "FAB. SUISSE" are both sharp, not worn thin. The case is a rectangular Staybrite steel form with faceted, tapering lugs, and I can see genuine handling wear on the case sides and crystal, with fine scratches rather than dents. Opening it up, the manual movement is clean, with visible jewels and a legible signature, though I have not had it serviced. This is a 1930s dress watch built for a narrow wrist, and it suits someone who wants an unpolished period piece with its dial intact rather than refinished.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
Fourteen days to return it for any reason — my own promise, not a statutory withdrawal right. Terms · How I describe condition
