Longines 18K Gold Dress Watch, 1910s
Calibre Longines 11.84NI keep this one wound just to watch the small seconds sweep at six — that subdial with its own recessed minute track still ticks over cleanly under the loupe. What I'm selling is an 18K gold Longines from the 1910s, caliber 11.84N, three-hand with subsidiary seconds, in a bassine case with wire lugs typical of the earliest wristwatch conversions from pocket-watch stock. The dial is silver-white, unrefinished as far as I can tell, with black Arabic numerals and blued spade hands that have kept their colour. The case back is hallmarked and carries a legible serial, though I won't quote it here; the gold shows fine handling scratches rather than deep marks. Inside, the gilt movement is clean, jewelled at the train, and the wire lugs show the light wear you'd expect. This suits someone who wants an early Longines wristwatch to run, not shelve.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
