Para Art Deco Rectangular Dress Watch, 1930s
The detail that stopped me on this one is the small cabochon-cut blue stone set into the case flank beside the crown — not a common thing to find on a 1930s dress piece, and it is still firmly seated. The dial is a warm champagne colour with black Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, and the case carries the fluted, reeded lugs typical of the period, in gold that has softened rather than sharpened with handling. Turn it over and the caseback is plain and polished, with light scuffing and a couple of thin marks that tell you it has been worn, not shelved. The manual movement inside is signed Swiss and clean under the loupe, jewels and screws all present and correct as far as I can see. Small enough that I'd call it a woman's dress watch, and it suits someone who wants Art Deco proportions with a genuinely unusual detail, not a re-issue of one.

Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
