Roamer Pocket Watch 1930s, Chrome Case
The original Roamer swing tag is still knotted to the crown on this one, and I have not touched it. My eye went first to the dial: white enamel-finish with a soft curve of light across the surface, bold Arabic numerals, blued spade hands, and a recessed subsidiary seconds ring marked out in five-second intervals. The nickel chrome case has kept its polish well, with only light handling marks at the caseback edge and a legible serial stamped inside, which I won't quote. Opening it up, the movement shows a gilt bridge with engraved regulator scale and clean jewelling, nothing obviously disturbed. For a manual three-hander out of the 1930s, this is a tidy example, and the surviving tag makes it worth having for anyone building a collection around dealer presentation as much as the watch itself.
Privatverkauf. Everything described above — case, dial, hands, lume, rate and service history — is agreed condition for this watch and I stand behind all of it. Beyond that, the watch is sold excluding liability for material defects, as is normal between private individuals for a vintage mechanical object of this age. That exclusion does not cover anything I have misdescribed or failed to disclose, and never covers injury or intent.
